Communications for Community organizers

Boards of Directors
These days many non-profit and volunteer-run organizations are guided by a Board of Directors. Having served on a few of these myself, I know how little time and money there is to implement big visions!
Choosing the most effective strategies are even more important when you're working towards the change you want to be in the world!
Community groups
I am drawn to the potential of the first moments when people come together to solve a problem or seize and opportunity. What will we be? How will we do it? How do we need to organize ourselves?
Internal communications is critical at this stage, and the mission, vision, bylaws and agreements that get created here often grows into public-facing communications products. Getting them right early on, matters.

Intermediaries
In some cases, I have been engaged by intermediaries - for example, funders who distribute money and resources to community groups or non-profit organizations. This can make for fruitful outcomes and sometimes complicated set of relationships. Let's figure it out.
